【Important】Regarding the Issuance of Qualified Invoices/Receipts for Reservations Made via Overseas Booking Sites

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of the R Hotel series.

With the introduction of Japan’s Invoice System (Qualified Invoice System) in October 2023, we would like to provide the following important notice. We have confirmed that overseas booking sites (such as Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, etc.) are currently not able to issue Japanese qualified invoices/receipts (invoice-compliant receipts).

For reservations made through the above booking sites, as well as reservations made via other hotel booking websites or travel agencies with advance credit card payment, including dynamic packages bundled with airline tickets and/or Shinkansen tickets, the payment recipient differs from the hotel. Therefore, as a general rule, we are unable to issue receipts from the hotel for these bookings.

We kindly ask you to contact the booking site in advance to confirm whether the site is a qualified invoice issuer under Japan’s invoice system.

Please note that we are able to issue a receipt only for reservations with payment made on-site.
